Monthly Talks

Unless otherwise stated, we hold our evening events at Merrist Wood College, Holly Lane, Worplesdon, Guildford, Surrey GU3 3PE.

For 2019, we’re moving our usual day for talks to be the 1st Wednesday every other month. This may be subject to change depending on speaker availability – follow us on facebook to get the latest updates and news from the association.


6th Feb 2019 – Pernie Jorgensen from the Surrey University Pathology Lab who will be talking about their post mortem service and some case studies.

3rd Apr 2019 – Lambing

5th July 2019 – to be confirmed

7th Aug 2019 – Summer BBQ and talk – location to be confirmed

2nd October – Livestock nutrition and supplements

4th Dec 2019 – Christmas social and talk – this will be held at Squires Holt, Farnham not Merrist Wood.

Talks are free for members, £2.50 for members’ guests and £5 for non-members. It is possible to become a member at any event.

If there is a topic you would like to see covered in either one of our evening talks or if you would like more hands on experience, then please let us know and we will try and accommodate.  Alternatively if you have an area of expertise you would like to share then get in touch with us and we will schedule you into our Talks or Events diary.
